Woman Tries To Be A Good Girlfriend, Ends Up With Stolen License Plates

Man oh man, nothing's worse than trying to do something good, purely good, out of the kindness of your warm soul, only to have the universe seemingly insist on dealing you a nasty hand. In this case, we have a kindhearted girlfriend who went out of her way to try and secure her partner a nice video game controller, only to have her dang license plates stolen. Hopefully that thief gets a nice serving of brutal instant karma.

    Font - Turns out those specific Guitar Hero controllers are considered vintage to some degree and cost $100+ used. There was nothing local on Craigslist so I turned to my old friend Goodwill. After a week of crawling through every store in my small county I found nothing but disappointment.     Font - 3:00 pm: Went to a shady retro video game store and they had the right one!! Only caveat is that it was nearly nonfunctional and the guy was charging $80, plus he was a dick when I asked if he could lower the price because it was broken. No thanks. 4:00 pm: This is where it all went wrong. I found my third Goodwill of the day and walked inside once again, expecting my dreams to be crushed.     Font - 5:00 pm: Okay, so order new plates through the DMV, easy. Except they just closed and won't be open until Monday to process my online request. And even still, that could take up to 2 days. Obviously it's illegal to drive without plates so I checked online and someone suggested letting highway patrol know that they were stolen. Cool, their office is also closed until tomorrow morning.     Font - 7:00 pm: l'm sitting in what appears to be a stolen vehicle, in front of a Goodwill, eating $2 tacos from a food truck.     Font - 8:15 pm: I decided to wait a few more minutes and the officer showed up right as I was about to leave. He took my information and gave me a get out of jail free card. 8:30 pm: I'm on my way home with nothing to give my boyfriend and 2 less license plates than when I started.
